Today is a really exciting day because I am back with a new She & Him Eats and today we are visiting the popular and delicious Milk Bar, established by award-winning chef and owner Christina Tosi in 2008. Milk Bar focuses on putting a playful spin on nostalgic homestyle desserts. Milk bar has been on our list to try for a couple of years now but somehow it's take us this long to try it, even though we had the chance to try it during our trip to New York and our last trip to Las Vegas. So without further ado, let's enjoy some sweets together.

Milk Bar in Las Vegas is located on the second floor of the Cosmopolitan Hotel, across from the Chandelier Bar. Ricky and I decided to stop by Milk Bar after our night tour of the Lost Vegas Tim Burton Exhibition, (keep an eye out for that She & Him Adventures post) It was around 8:00 pm and it was relatively slow, as you can tell.

Along with Milk Bar regular menu, the Las Vegas location features exclusive menu items available, including alcohol infused Fancy Shakes like the Cereal Milk White Russian, as well as other limited edition menu items from special cakes like the Elvis Cake, with vanilla chocolate chip cake, peanut butter frosting, banana mousse and caramel ganache, to special soft serve flavors and more. Side note, you can sample some of the goods before you buy, so don't hesitate to ask nicely.

After browsing the menu for a while, we decided to order the two items we've been wanting to try the most; the Cereal Milk Soft Serve with Cornflake Crunch and the Milk Bar Pie.

People have been going crazy over their Cereal Milk Soft Serve, so of course we had to try it. The Cereal Milk Soft Serve with Cornflake Crunch is made with milk, cornflakes, brown sugar and a pinch of salt. And holy moly! It did taste just like the milk at the bottom of a bowl of cereal. The cornflakes on top and at the bottom gave it the perfect crunch and boost of flavor. It wasn't too sweet either (just how we like it) and pretty much amazing.

Ever since Ricky and I watched the Christina Tosi episode of Chef's Table we have been wanting to try the famous Crack Pie, which has been renamed and is now called the Milk Bar Pie. This fan favorite pie is filled with gooey buttery goodness and a toasted oat crust. Every slice is a magical mash up of sweet, salty and sticky.

No lie but the Milk Bar Pie is literally the best thing ever!! It changed my life and I'm still craving another slice.

After finishing our delicious desserts we decided to check out their little gift shop corner. We both wanted to try their cookies since every cookie has a texture and flavor story to tell your taste buds from sweet and salty, to fruity, corny, chewy, crispy, fudgy, chocolatey, vanilla-y and confetti-y, so we decided to buy a cookies tin to-go. We purchased the following cookies:

Compost Cookie - Sweet + salty chocolate chip cookies with enough flavor for days
Confetti Cookie - Inspired by the texture of a marshmallow- fluffy and chewy, but brought down to earth in cookie form.
Cornflake Chocolate Marshmallow Cookie - Crunchy, chewy riff on the classic chocolate chip cookie- complete with cornflakes and mini-marshmallows
Blueberry & Cream Cookie - Meet the muffin top flavor masquerading as a cookie.
Chocolate Chocolate Cookie - It looks like a cookie. It tastes like a brownie.
Fruity Marshmallow Cookie - This crispy, chewy treasure is packed with marshmallows and your fave childhood fruity cereal.
By now the cookies are all gone and we enjoyed every single one! Perfectly sweet and salty, just how we like it.

And that's it! Ricky and I finally got to try Milk Bar. Like I mentioned earlier Milk Bar is located inside The Cosmopolitan and right next to Momofuku, (future post to come) The pink aesthetic is perfect for Instagram, but the desserts will keep you coming back. Milk Bar does not have any seating but you can easily find a place to sit around the Cosmopolitan. If you do decide to go, give their Milk Bar Pie a try. It's deeelicious! You won't regret it! Next time we visit, I'll definitely be trying a Birthday Cake Latte or a Milk Bar Latte. Thank you so much for joining me today, and I'll see you all next time with another fun post!
