Yes! I Cut Off My Hair!

As all of you may know, I recently got a new haircut! Last week I decided to finally try something new. I decided to chop off between 8-10 inches of my hair, depending on what angle you are looking from and let me just say its the best decision I have ever made. For a while now I knew I wanted to try something new, I new I wanted all my blonde hair to be gone, and I knew I wanted bangs! But it was only around an hour before my hair appointment that I decided to just go for it and chop it all off! And I'm so happy with the results!

I’ve been growing out my hair for almost two years now and yes I did loved my long hair but I felt like it was time for a change. Especially because I had a lot of grow out and the bleached hair was just not looking cute anymore. And you know what they say when you aren't in love with something its time for a change!

After contemplating for a while and looking at just about everywhere for haircut inspiration, I finally decided to set up an appointment and go in for the haircut. 

My hair stylist suggested the best thing to do was a bob so we can get rid of all the bleached hair. I already knew I had to cut off a few inches, plus hair grows and I trust her, so I was totally fine with it!

I'm not going to sugar coat it, when my hair stylist started cutting my hair  I was getting a bit worried. I knew I had to go short in order to get rid of my bleached hair but I don't think I realized how short I would have to go. The second thought running in my head was, would having short hair make me feel less confident. I think that's a universal question many woman asks themselves. And in my opinion, cutting off my hair actually gave me so much more confident! I feel very confident and empowered and it makes me feel so happy to feel that way about myself.

I've also been enjoying seeing everyone freaking out whenever they first see me. But so far everyone has loved my haircut! I've been getting a ton of compliments! Here are a few of my favorite:

• "I said goddamn, look at you Mia Wallace!"
• "Such a drastic change but it looks great!"
• "This hairstyle fits you soooo well, it's crazy!"
• "Look like an expensive wig but I love it!"
• "Effortlessly Beautiful!"
• "How much you pay? It looks expensive" Ha!
• "YAAAAAAS my Gatsby girl!"
• "Did you dye your hair?"

That's one question many people have asked me these past few days. In case you are wondering, no I did not dye it. Everyone is so shook that my natural hair is this dark.

I’m am beyond happy I finally did this. It literally feel like it’s a fresh start and I love it! I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping this short length for a while! If you ever catch yourself thinking, "I think I’m gonna chop it all off.” I say do it! It's life changing! But if you are too scared to go too short, I definitely recommend trying a lob first and seeing how you like it because lobs are usually shoulder length while bob's are jaw-line level.
