Hello Kitty Cafe | She & Him Eats

Welcome to a very adorable and pink She & Him Adventures. A few weeks ago Ricky and I went to the Hello Kitty Cafe in Santana Row. This location opened up during Summer and it was a very popular place to visit during the nice warm Summer days. Yes we went long after the hype died but we wanted to fully enjoy the cafe with no crowds and that's exactly how we got to enjoy our visit. So join me today as we enter the Hello Kitty universe and embark on some sweet treats.
Ricky and I went to the Hello Kitty Cafe early on a Saturday morning. It was my birthday week and Ricky was treating me all week long, so he took me the one place he knew I've been wanting to go to. When we arrived, I was so happy because there wasn't a line and we were able to walk right in!
Can I just say the decor was everything! Look at how cute this room looks, this is every little girl's dream.
I have to admit I'm not the biggest fan of the color pink but when it comes to Hello Kitty and a pastel /millennial pink color, I am all for it! I was really holding back from buying all of the Hello Kitty related merchandise. This cupcake pillow was so cute and they also had a black shirt, which I loved!
One thing inside the Hello Kitty cafe that I totally did not noticed until Ricky mentioned it to me were these clouds hanging from the ceiling. They were shaped as none other than Hello Kitty and her infamous bow, they were so cute! I have to give it to Ricky for always analyzing everything.
After taking in all of the beautiful decor inside the Hello Kitty Cafe, it was time to look at all of the yummy treats! All of the cookies look so delicious and too cute to eat! Look at those macaroons! So cuuuuute!
They also had a few desserts and pasties on display and they looked incredible! I knew immediately I was going to have a hard time choosing what to order.

Side note: The picture above is one of my favorite pictures I took inside the Hello Kitty Cafe. I want to thank the employee for stepping to the back and letting Ricky and I take all of the pictures we wanted. You are the sweetest and you made us feel so comfortable.
Anyways, can we talk about this counter?! Hello, Hello Kitty corporate I want it!
After taking a ton of pictures it was time to order. They had a ton of items on the menu that I wanted to try like the Strawberry Cake and Chocolate Chocolate Cake and don't get me started on their beverage menu; Passion Fruit Iced Tea and Peppermint Mocha. I want it all! Ricky wanted to try the Strawberry Cake but unfortunately it was sold out. So we decided to go with Birthday Cake, which was perfect since we were celebrating my birthday! And of course I ordered the 5 Piece Macaroon Set
And we ordered a Strawberry Mint Lemonade to share.
Before enjoying our treats, Ricky snapped a few pictures of me and they turned out so adorable. He's the best!
Since the Hello Kitty Cafe is very small, Ricky and I found ourselves a table outside to enjoy our treats.
The first treat we enjoyed was the Birthday Cake. This was a Vanilla Bean cake with Sprinkles and Buttercream. It was so good! Definitely a refrigerated cake, but it brought back so many memories as a kid and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ricky who's not the biggest fan of cake also loved it. You can see him going for another piece in the picture below.
And now the Strawberry Mint Lemonade, don't get me wrong it was good but I realized I don't like drinking something sour in the morning. I had a few sips but after a while I stopped. On the other hand, Ricky did enjoy it.
On that day we didn't eat the 5 Piece Macaroon Set because we don't like to eat too many sweets in one day. However, a few days later we did get to enjoy them and they were delicious. Each macaroon was a different flavor and the flavors were; Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Vanilla, Pistachio, and Chocolate. The passion fruit and vanilla were my favorite and Ricky enjoyed the pistachio and strawberry.
Overall, the Hello Kitty Cafe is a super cute place. Like I mentioned earlier, it's not a sit down and eat cafe; its more of a on-the-go cafe but it's definitely a place worth checking out. I hope you enjoyed today's blog post, let me know in the comments below if you've visited one of the many Hello Kitty Cafe's or pop-up's or what was your favorite part of this adventure?

  2. Your pictures came out so good! I felt totally rushed when I was there and that could be because of how busy it was. When we went I really wanted Rudy to get that Birthday Cake cake but he chose the strawberry one and I wasn't a fan of it. I need to go back to try that cake!
