10 Things I Am Loving This Fall

People always get excited about the summer, but in reality fall is when the magic happens. Pumpkins, caramel apples, cider, sweater weather, leaves, bonfires, there are so many things to love during fall. So without further ado, here are a few things I am loving this fall!

1. Pumpkins, Gourds and Squash

Pumpkins are probably the most fun and vibrant vegetable to ever grace our presence. They're great for carving, however, they are excellent for cooking especially soups and pies! But pumpkins aren't they only vegetable you see a lot during fall, gourds and squashes are also easily available during this time of the year. I myself have been obsessed with Butternut Squash. I've been incorporating butternut squash in grain bowls, soups, pastas, and even desserts. And let me just say, I've been making some of the most delicious meals I have ever made. I'm even considering sharing a Hint of Pepper post to show you how I make these delicious meals. Let me know if that's something you are interest in.

2. Mansur Gavriel Brick Bucket Bag

A few month's back I purchased my second Mansur Gavriel bag. I bought the Brick Suede Mini Bucket Bag. You might of seen me wearing it in the Glass Pumpkin Festival | She & Him Adventures. I imminently fell in love with this purse and I knew it would be the perfect fall purse. Whenever I am out and about I get tons of compliments, people love the color! I'm so glad I purchased this purse.

3. Breville Barista Espresso Machine

I am a coffee enthusiast! Iced coffee, cappuccinos, cold brew, macchiato, you name it, I love it. For a while now, I've been interested in purchasing an espresso machine because both Ricky and I love drinking coffee and a few weeks back Ricky surprised me with my own Breville Barista Espresso Machine. What I love about this machine is that it allows you to grind the beans right before extraction and it has interchangeable filters and a choice of automatic or manual settings to ensure authentic cafĂ© style results. And it has a steam wand that allows you to make foam milk! I've been using this machine almost on a daily basis, except when I am running extremely late to work and I end up buying a coffee instead. Anyways, I am so glad Ricky purchased this for me, I've been enjoying making my versions of pumpkin spice flavor coffee this fall.

4. Halloween

Don't get me wrong, EVERYDAY IS HALLOWEEN but realistically the true magic of Halloween is in the month of October. Halloween this year was so much fun, I got to decorate my home, I put up my Halloween Village, I visited a Pumpkin Patch and a Festival, I made Halloween goodie-bags to pass out, and I binged on a ton of spooky movies including classics like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, and an endless amounts of horror movies!

5. Huluween on Hulu

Taking about Halloween another Halloween related thing I loved this fall was Huluween on Hulu. Hulu unleashed a month-long bingefest of the spookiest and scariest shows and movies for all ages. I love that Hulu made a specific sections for Halloween Movies, it made finding and choosing a movie to watch so much easier. I definitely used this service a lot and I hope they make something  like this for Christmas.

6. Fall Premiers

Obviously because it’s getting chilly outside this is the perfect time to indulge in TV shows and the best part is there are so many great show to watch right now. A few I am loving this fall are American Horror Story, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Haunting of Hill House, Manifest, Maniac and Riverdale. I am so obsessed with Riverdale, I don't know why I stopped watching it but I recently binged watch the entire second season and it's so good! I'm so glad the third season is currently playing.

7. IG Aesthetics

Some of you may not know but I took a hiatus from Instagram but I came back earlier this year. It has been so much fun these past few months creating content for my IG and my IG aesthetics this fall has been everything! Maybe it's the color orange, or maybe it reminds me of fall. All I know is I've been loving my IG. If you want to check it out click, here.

8. Disneyland

A tradition Ricky and I have during fall is visiting Disneyland during Halloween time. Halloween time at Disneyland is so magical and it's even more magical now that both Disneyland and Disney California Adventures celebrate Halloween. Last month, Ricky and I took our yearly Halloween trip to the parks, and it was my favorite trip so far this fall, I blogged all about it in my Halloween Time at Disneyland + 5 Tips & Tricks and Halloween Time at Disney California Adventures. Make sure to check them out, they're spook-tacular!

9. Crisp Morning & Chilly Nights

Recently it has been really cool in the mornings, even though the afternoons are still in the 80's, fall weather where are you? However, even though during the day it doesn't feel like fall, I've been enjoying the crisp mornings and even more the chilly nights. That's when Ricky and I cuddle and watch one of our favorite movies and/or TV shows.

10. Seasonal Food

Who doesn't love seasonal food? I especially love fall seasonal food and Trade Joe's is the spot to get a ton of delicious seasonal food. A favorite of mine is their Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce, I love using that sauce especially when I put it on top of Trader Joe's Butternut Squash Fall Zucchette Pasta or Trader Giotto's Butternut Squash Triangoli. Hey Trader Joe's, give me all of your Butternut Squash items!!! Another seasonal item I've been loving is Trader Joe’s Pepita Salsa, this is a bright and balanced salsa with tomatoes, chopped pepitas, and spices. It pairs well with just about anything from tacos to grain bowls, and that is exactly what I've been using it on. It so good, even the lady ringing us up mentioned that her daughter loves this salsa. Lastly, two more seasonal items I am loving are Trader Joe's Fall Harvest Salsa and their Pumpkin Joe Joe’s Cookies. Let me just say buy everything at Trader Joe’s and you won't be disappointed.

Now, what are you enjoying the most about Fall? Feel free to share below. Hopefully I'll be back with a similar post for Winter! Happy Fall!

What's your opinion?

  1. I love Fall so much and I think this is the first year I've really been doing the most during the season. I've been enjoying a lot of the same things you are this season. I'm glad Rudy and I were finally able to go back and visit Disneyland during Halloween Time! I've been loving the chilling mornings and nights, best for cuddling with Juicy and Bowie while watching tons of new shows. Everything pumpkin flavored please, and I've been really enjoying my espresso machine! I'm excited for the Holidays but I don't want fall to end.
