Best Of Skincare Tag

I've recently started to look at a lot of people’s skincare routine, I love learning about new products and how they work for people. While researching new products, I ran into this Best of Skincare Tag. It was such a fun tag and I thoroughly enjoyed watching bunch of YouTuber and Bloggers talking about skincare and their favorite products. As a self-proclaimed skincare enthusiast I decided to share with you all this tag and what are in my opinion, the best of skincare. Let’s get on with the tag!
What's your skin type?
I have very oily skin, especially in my t-zone area. I occasionally get dry spots around my nostrils. And far as skin concerns, I am semi-prone to breakouts mainly on the sides of my cheeks and my chin.

How do you store your skincare products?
I keep my skincare products in my bedroom on my little skincare vanity and away from any direct sunlight and humidity. It's so important to keep your skincare products away from direct sunlight especially products containing ingredients that are sensitive and prone to destabilization, such as vitamin C, retinol, and benzoyl peroxide. It's also important to not store them in your bathroom because the warmth and humidity from the shower can become the perfect ground for mold and mildew to form.

Favorite ingredient?
Alpha Hydroxy Acid, AHA has significantly helped resurfaces my skin. My skin feel so smooth and has an overall boost of clarity and radiance. I noticed immediately an improvement in my skin when I started to use my Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, which contains 25% AHA. Throughout time it has also helped minimized my pores. Another favorite ingredient is definitely Charcoal.

Most indulgent product?
Aesop B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel. This is definitely the most expensive skincare product that I own with the price tag of $120. It’s the one product I tend to reach for when I am in need of hydration and a boost of vitamin. This lightly hydrating treatment delivers an intense boost of Vitamins B and C to balance, soothe and soften your skin. I am so sad I am almost out of this gel. I've been trying to using it less and less but pretty soon I'll be out and in need of a new one.

Best budget buy?
I have to go with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb and Rosewater. I use it all the time, especially in the morning. I've bought it twice already and it never disappoints me. It smells so good and it's only 7 dollars! Come on, you can't beat that!

Do you use any tools (Clarisonic, Foreo, etc.)?
Yes! I use the Clarisonic Mia 2 and it makes washing my face so easy and it gives my skin a nice and gentle exfolitation. The Clarisonic along with the rest of the products I use has dramatically improved my skin.

Best mask?
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. I absolutely love this sleep mask! It feels amazing and smells even better! I won't go too much into details because I am working on a separate post dedicated to this mask but so far it's my favorite!

Best multi-use?
I’m going with oil. Not one in particular but any kind of skincare oil because you can use it to hydrate your skin and help treat breakouts. You can use it on your body and in your hair, just about anywhere.

If you had to stick to only one skincare brand, what would it be?
That's a difficult question but I'm going to choose Fresh! They are the first skincare brand I started to use when I started to get into skincare and to this day I still use a lot of their products. Their products are made of natural and organic ingredients and they still have a lot of products that I want to try.

Best spot treatment?
Hands down, Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Their drying lotion is a fast acting, effective acne spot treatment. This treatment will shrink pimples overnight while you sleep.

Favorite step of your skincare routine?
Cleansing! I love that fresh and clean feeling you get after you remove all of your makeup. But I must say applying a mask is my second favorite step. I seriously love masking so much!

What's on your skincare wishlist?

Well that's the end of the Best Of Skincare Tag. This tag was possibly the best tag I've ever done! Mainly because I am in love with skincare and I love talking about it as much as I can. I hope my answers gave you some knowledge of the products I use and love. I tag all of my reader to do this tag, especially if you are a blogger! I'd love to hear your answers to these questions. Have a wonderful day!

What's your opinion?

  1. I still really want to try the Baby facial by Drunk Elephant. Mary just picked up a sample of it this week. I just want to try some of their products! I love the watermelon glow mask, I've been using mine once a week. I can't get over how amazing it smells. I almost picked up the new mask from Sunday Riley, I think the Saturn... but I'll need to try a sample first.

    1. Let me know how she likes it! Same, I seriously love the smell of that watermelon mask. It's probably my all time favorite.

I've heard such great things about Saturn, I'm really tempted to buy the set they have at Sephora with the mask, toner, and oil.
