April Favorites

April has officially come to an end and we've all heard the old rhyme "April showers bring May flowers." So hopefully we start seeing some beautiful flowers blooming soon. In the meantime, today I have for you all my April Favorites. Let's begin!

My first monthly favorite its the Freeman Beauty Infusion Cleansing Clay Mask with Charcoal + Probiotics. I received this mask back in February inside my Ipsy Glam Bag and I started using this towards the end of March and I continued to use it this month. I love this mask because it give you a deep clean and it's also serum-infused! I love masks that dry/harden, it makes me feel like I got Botox and I can't move my face, in a good way. After I remove this mask my face feels fresh, smoother, and matte! Overall this is a great mask and it definitely improved my oily skin.

In case you don't know, I recently went through a hair transformation and we all know bleaching your hair is very damaging. Therefor, I am using everything and anything that I can use to protect my hair. Recently, I started using the Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Crème. This is a weightless blow dry finishing and heat protectant cream made with rosehip, argan, and coconut oils. This creme protects hair against heat damage up to 425°F. It smooths and tames frizzy hair, and I'm pretty sure you know how frizzy your hair can get after bleaching. I've been applying this creme to my hair after every wash and I feel like it really does help tame my hair, especially if I'm blow drying it, and I love how my hair looks and feel after I straighten or curl it.

Like I previously mentioned, I'm trying everything and anything that can protect my hair, that brings me to my next monthly favorite, the Tarte Maracuja Oil. This is a great oil to use as a moisturizer, primer, or to thin out thick foundations, however it's also great for your hair! I've been using this oil for my face for a while, but I recently started to apply a small amount to my hair after I styled it. I really love that it does not feel heavy or extremely oily. It's truly the best multi-tasking oil I have ever used.

My next monthly favorite is the Lush Twilight Shower Gel. My friend/Lush-Loving-Gal Juliana over at Ohhjuliana.com gifted me this shower gel for my birthday in January. I think I started using it Mid-March and I've been loving it so much! This shower gel is a delight, it's an iridescent purple body wash that contains comforting lavender and sweet tonka fragrances. I love using this shower gel at night, the lavender is so relaxing and it gets me ready to sleep at night. Unfortunately this is a holiday exclusive so they don't have it in stock but you can purchase the Lush Relax Gift set and it contains a small 3.3 fl. Oz bottle.

Please don't hate me if you think I talk too much about Lush but recently I've been trying out so many Lush products and I'm loving everything. That brings me to my next favorite the Lush Marilyn Hair Treatment. I randomly ran into this product in an article about great hair treatments to use after bleaching your hair. This light and lemony hair treatment is perfect for lighter and brighter hair. It's a very gentle and natural way to lighten your hair. I started using this treatment weekly since my first hair session and I can't even explain how great it is. I apply a generous amount to my dry hair, leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, and then I shampoo it out. After I tried it for the first time I could tell it helped immediately. This treatment is fantastic! Oh, and it smells good. I will definitely keep repurchasing!

Lastly, for my last monthly favorite I have the Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask. While shopping at Lush I decided to pick up a fresh mask sample. After talking to the super sweet and informative employee, she recommend me to try the Catastrophe Cosmetic mask. This mask is made with antioxidant-rich blueberries, calamine powder, rose absolute, and chamomile blue oil to soothe redness and irritation. When the employee opened the pot to fill me a sample she decided to give me the pot with the remaining product which had about 1/3 of the original product, awesome! The sample actually lasted me a really long time. At first I wasn't sure if I liked the consistency, it felt too dry, chalky and flaky. However, after using it a few times I noticed it help toned my skin and it  also removed some redness that I had in certain parts of my face. On top of that I loved the way my skin felt after every wash and the smell was delicious. I'll probably have to pick up a full size soon.

Well I hope you enjoy my April Favorites, what are some of your favorite items this month? Comment below. Also, if you have any hair product recommendations I'll be happy to hear too!
