My Night Time Skincare Routine

This past year I found myself changing my focus from makeup to skincare. I was never a huge fan of makeup but I did apply it regularly. However, I was terrible when it came to my skincare. If I was too tired at night I would sleep with my makeup and not even worry. I know that's terrible and gross! Luckily, I was blessed with semi clear, acne-free skin so my skin never got bad. I did and still do get the occasional pimples but sometimes we can't do anything about that. Now, I am a changed person and I have a daily skincare routine. I do prefer to do most of my skincare at night because I’m usually in a rush in the morning and I don’t have enough time. I'm not a morning person. Anyways, recently I've been really excited to share with you all my current night time skincare routine. I must admit whenever I find a new product I tend to change my routine but for the most part the skincare routine I will be talking about today has been the same for a while. If  you are interested in my night time skincare routine continue reading!
1. Garnier SkinActive Clean + Purifying Oil-Free Cleansing Towelettes.
The first step in my skincare routine is to cleanse my face. I start of with these towelettes to remove my mascara, eyeliner, and any other heavy makeup I am wearing. I love these towelettes. I've been using these for a while now and I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon. It gets everything off in a few swipes and doesn’t sting my eyes, which is great! I've tried many other makeup removing wipes and a lot of them sting my eyes or irritate my skin. Plus these towelettes are infused with charcoal which is know to draws out impurities.

2. Clarisonic Sonic Radiance PM Renewing Peel WashClarisonic Mia 2.
Next I use these two Clarisonic products together to get that deep exfoliating wash. I love using my Mia 2 so much! One feature that I love is the built in timer, it tells you when to move to other parts of your face. It makes washing my face so easy. My face is normally really oily and this cleaning system and cleanser has made such a big difference on my face. My skin gets less oily through out the day. I really love using the cleanser. Every time I wash my face it leaves my skin feeling smooth, glowy, and the smell alone is amazing!
3. Lush Cup O' Coffee Mask.
The next step in my skincare routine is to treat my skin. I treat my skin by applying a mask. I have a variety of masks I alternate from, some are easy to apply (TonyMoly I'm Real Mask) some are easy to wash off (True Botanicals Resurfacing Moisture Mask) and others take a little bit more effort. The Lush Cup O' Coffee mask is definitely a mask that is hard to wash off, well messy but I love it! The coffee grounds give my skin the perfect exfoliation! Side note: I love to apply my mask with a brush, unless its too dense or too liquified.
4. Origin Zero Oil Pore Purifying Toner.
Next its time to Tone! I am currently using the Origin Zero Oil toner. This toner leaves my skin with a smooth and matte finish. I am in love with this toner! It leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, in a way that no toner has ever done for me before. I love applying this toner!
5. Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff.
Next, I nourish my eyes by using this Origin eye cream. I originally started using this eye cream when my friend Juliana gave me a sample size. I was surprise at how long it lasted, it had a lot of product in the container and I was able to see a difference in my eyes. After using this eye treatment for a few weeks, I noticed an improvement in my eyes, the puffiness and dark circles around my eyes had reduced. I ended up buying a full size of this eye cream and now I use it everyday in my night time skincare routine and in the morning before I apply my makeup.

6. Aesop B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel.
Next to nourish the rest of my skin I use this Aesop Gel. This is the perfect oil-free balancer for oily skin. It's boosted with tons of Vitamins to keep your skin glowing! I've been using this gel for couple months now. Ever since I started using this gel in my night time skincare routine, I feel that my skin looks healthier than ever! It's an expensive product but I love it!
7. Hey Honey 24Seven Day & Night Revitalizing Cream.
Lastly, after my Aesop Balancing gel has dried, I hydrate! It's so important to hydrate your skin at night with a cream/moisturizer because that's when your skin has the most time to absorb all the nutrients. I love using this Hey Honey cream. I don't like to apply highly scented creams to my face and this cream has a barely-there clean scent. After I apply it, it leaves my skin velvety smooth and glowing in the morning!

And that's the end of my night time skincare routine! I've noticed a huge improvement in my skin in the past year and I couldn't be happier! I am so excited to continue this skincare journey and even more excited to try new products.

What's your opinion?

  1. I love skin care routines, and enjoy doing them as well! I've noticed how small things change through out the months/years. I've been wanting to do yet another updated skincare routine. I've never heard of that Hey Honey brand and it sounds nice. I may have to look into them.

  2. Ugh, I don't have a skin routine! & reading yours and all the steps made me realize how much I'm missing out. I used to try the fresh mask face from lush and omg they're amazing. I just wish there was a lush store where I live. & it was also the only skin care I would do, smh.

    1. I have yet to try one of their fresh masks. I'm always worried it will expire before I even finish it. What you don't live near a Lush! I'm surprised, I thought by now they were everywhere.
