TV Shows to Watch in 2017 | Small Talk

Hi and welcome to my first ever Small Talk, a new series dedicated to talk about random topics. I decided to start this series because I always find myself wanting to post and talk about bunch of random topics like Music, Shows, Disney News, Politics (maybe), Science, History, and much more. Today in my first ever Small Talk, I wanted to talk about shows. Mainly shows you should definitely watch in 2017, with that said let's start!
The Handmaid's Tale, Hulu: April 26, 2017
Based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Atwood, this series is set in Gilead, a totalitarian society in what used to be part of the United States. "Gilead is ruled by a fundamentalist regime that treats women as property of the state, and is faced with environmental disasters and a plummeting birth rate. In a desperate attempt to repopulate a devastated world, the few remaining fertile women are forced into sexual servitude. One of these women, Offred, is determined to survive the terrifying world she lives in, and find the daughter that was taken from her." I am so excited for this show! I am a huge fan of the novel and I also really love the 1990 film starting Natasha Richardson. I can't wait for this show to start, the cast is incredible and the trailer is amazing and so suspenseful.

Big Little Lies, HBO Limited Series: February 19, 2017.
Big Little Lies is an upcoming American comedy-drama miniseries series created by David E. Kelley, based on the book of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The show tells the tale of three mothers of first graders, whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. I've never heard of the book before seeing the trailer, however I was very fascinated. Once I saw the cast which includes; Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoƫ Kravitz, and much more, I was like yes! I'm sad it's only a limited mini series but I am very excited to watch it.

Girlboss, Netflix: April 21, 2017.
Girlboss is inspired by the New York Times best-selling book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, founder of the fashion brand Nasty Gal. The series centers on Amoruso (Britt Robertson), who began selling vintage clothes on eBay and, by the age of 28, had built the multi-million dollar fashion empire, Nasty Gal. I don't know about you but I've always been a fan of Sophia Amoruso and Nasty Gal. I love her style and I love her story, she's such a Girlboss! I can't wait to watch this show. Netflix has been killing it with Netflix Originals.

Dear White People, Netflix: April 28, 2017.
Dear White People is an upcoming American satirical television series based on the 2014 film Dear White People. At a predominantly white Ivy League college, a diverse group of students navigate various forms of racial and other types of discrimination. Justin Simien, the original writer and director will return to write and direct several episodes of the series. Netflix will be releasing Ten 30 minute episodes for this show. I really enjoyed the movie back in 2014, I thought it was different and funny. Even though the show is not going to have any of the original actors, I still want to watch it.
I never realized how many shows I like to watch until I started working on this post. Below are all of the shows I truly love and currently waiting for a new season to start. Some of them are on their 7th season, some on their 2nd season, and some on their last. (Tear) You should check them out if you haven't, It's never too late to start watching an amazing show. I'll also include if I binged watch them or started watching them from day one. I always think its interesting to know how long of a fan people have been about certain shows/movies.
